The conference will provide participants with a detailed analysis of recent developments in European environmental law, including significant judgments by the European Court of Justice.

A substantive part of the conference will look at the the European Union’s challenges in terms of security and dependency of energy supply within the context of climate change, especially in areas such as renewable energy, bio- fuels, energy efficiency, energy saving and reform of the ETS system.

More specifically, the following topics of Community policy in the field of environment protection will be examined: Waste management and bio-waste ; Water management ; Soil protection ; Environmental taxation ; Green public procurement ; Industrial emissions and air quality ; Chemicals.
